Be Fabulous In Colour
It’s really cold out there and yes it is only Autumn, Zzzzz…I’m sure by now you have rearranged your wardrobe and put away some of the more skimpy summer pieces for next Spring/Summer. Great, now you have more room in your closet for your Winter pieces. If you haven’t, it really is time to bring forward all your knits, your jacket, coats and scarves. They all need to be visible in your wardrobe.
New colours Trending
What’s new and what colours are trending for our Melbourne’s cooler seasons. In the last couple of months of shopping with clients and doing my own research, I’m seeing a lot of Navy, Burgundy, Brown and several different shades of Grey. If you’re a big fan of Brown, you’ll be seeing lots more next winter. I’m really happy about this as it hasn’t been around for a few seasons, welcome back.
Navy is a great colour to wear especially if you’re not a fan of black. Not everyone can wear black successfully as it could appear a little harsh worn too close to the face, welcome in navy as a softer alternative. There are plenty of wonderful neutral shades that are already out there, and have been for a few winters now. We have our reliable blacks, charcoals, light grey, winter whites, beige, camel and stone.
Other fabulous colours include: khaki, this is one of my favorite colours and I wear it well. More colours emerald green, red, sapphire blue, bright orange still going strong and some pastels.

I was on Tamar Najarian site and this is what she had to say about what we can expect for our winter season next year 2016.
“From New York to London, Milan to Paris, in that order. We paid very close attention to the color palettes as presented, often a little too dark for our tastes but nonetheless generally perfectly chic in designs and color combinations. The 2015 – 2016 palette is rooted in multi-faceted, androgynous colors that can be worn to portray effortless sophistication across men’s and women’s fashion; it is the first time we are seeing a truly unisex color palette,” states Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. From the earthy neutrals to the bolder statements, the fall/ winter 2015-2016 color trends and patterns used for various runway shows have been reflections of everything that embodies hope, fun, fantasy and everything considered natural. They were chosen because of their effect on an individual’s psyche, from inspiring emotions of love to warm feelings of security. Then again, the black that has been timeless and used so extensively throughout the line-ups presented over the past few weeks has its own connotations, depending on the material it is used on.”
